Strategy Development, PR & Communications Campaign
Cariforum Creatives was a one-year project by the International Trade Centre to promote the Creative Industries sector as a viable contributor to CARIFORUM’s export diversification and growth goals. The project was implemented in partnership with Caribbean Export Development Agency and in partial collaboration with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
Ethnic Vision was tasked with coordinating all the regional and international media and writing press releases and initiating new stories on the various activities associated with the project. Part of this included developing the ITC P.R and Communications strategy for the entire project which featured the production of a six-part regional TV series: The Creative Industries–The New Frontier. The series was aired on television and made available online.

By creating a campaign which focused on the people and their passion for the creative industries the project was able to gather momentum and generate wider awareness for the work of ITC through the stories of the individuals. The campaign help drive sales for the participants in the project when they finally exhibited in the regional design trade show, “Design Caribbean”.
Regional governments also took a renewed interest in the importance of the region’s Creative Industries.
